OUR WEEKEND

YOU WILL NOTICE I HAVE A NEW BUTTON TO THE RIGHT...THIS THANKS TO NIKKI!
THANKS AGAIN NIKKI, I LOVE IT!
FEEL FREE TO GRAB IT AND PUT IT ON YOUR BLOG!
Friday my sister and her husband took all the kids to a movie...well almost all of them, I couldn't talk them into taking MC! Here they are waiting to leave.

Saturday night me and my husband of 7 years actually went to dinner and had drinks by ourselves THANKS TO MY MOM! Today, Sunday March 29Th, is our actual 7 year wedding anniversary...how come it feels more like 17!?!?
We went to eat at an Italian rest. close by the house and it was great! My husband even shared a bottle of wine with me...well, I might have had a few more glasses than he did, he is really not a wine
drinker! Then we strolled through Barnes and Noble, this is one of HIS favorite places. Then we ended the night at Blue Goose. We watched the end of a great basketball ball and I had my first margarita in a year and a half! And it will probably be that long before I have another one...there is a TON of calories in ONE of these! THANKS AGAIN MOM FOR STAYING WITH THE KIDS, we had a great time!
March 29Th is also cousin Kris and cousin Bradley's birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY! And is also cousin Cari and her husband's, Campbell, FIRST wedding anniversary! Congrats!
Sunday my mom, MC and I went to Moody Coliseum to see my brother and the rest of the Tyler Jr. College Cheerleading Squad perform. Aww, look, MC even has a Tyler Jr. College t-shirt on supporting his uncle!

He looks like he could fit in there at SMU, huh??

This is their squad:

After leaving SMU my mom, MC and I had lunch at THE best place to have a Philly cheese steak EVER...TEXADELPHIA! Well, we actually had the chicken cheese steak but it was REALLY GOOD TOO AND BETTER FOR US! But we also had some chips and queso. It was great! MC enjoyed some squash for his lunch.

And then on to hunting down a new car seat for MC! We are STUFFING him into his infant carrier now NOT TO MENTION HE WEIGHS A TON IN IT! It is almost impossible to carry him in the thing anymore!

I also sat him in this little jump-a-roo thing that he LOVED!

I so wanted to get this...he would spend HOURS in it, but figured daddy would not have been happy with the purchase seeing all the other things we have at home for him, BUT MC LOVED THIS THING!

HOPE EVERYONE HAD AS GREAT OF A WEEKEND AS I DID!

Now back to the regular scheduled program tomorrow morn...

ANOTHER GIVEAWAY!

Go here http://www.sayitonasign.net/ to find out all about this giveaway and enter to WIN! GOOD LUCK!

TADDLE TALE

MO is quite the taddle tale (is this how you spell it?)! Anytime something isn't going his way he will sneak away and call daddy at work and taddle on everyone, INCLUDING ME!

This is usually how it all goes down. MO and MS actually do play well together sometimes (not often). And when I say well I mean they get along good for a little while as MO is making all the rules and changing them as it benefits him. MO always gives himself more turns or lives as he runs out and all the while MS doesn't even realize it. Then MO STILL gets mad at MS for whatever, even knowing what he is doing. MO talks to MS in a not very nice tone when MS starts doing something that MO doesn't like or when MS is doing something that MO doesn't want him to do and sooner or later MS will get tired of it and quit playing. Then MO gets mad and says MS is quitting and will tell MS daddy doesn't like when we quit so you cant but MS still does and it makes MO so mad. MO will then come taddle to me and I will say I don't blame him, you are making up all the rules and changing them when it is good for you, you give yourself more turns and then you talk to MS terrible! SO I WOULD NOT PLAY WITH YOU EITHER! MO gives me the nastiest look ever and will storm upstairs which means going to call daddy and taddle on me and MS. I wait about 10 minutes and then will call daddy and he will answer the phone cracking up. I will say so I guess MO called you. And he will say yup! Daddy says MO cracks him up at how mad he is when he calls him at MS and then MO will tell him when he came to tell me what MS was doing to HIM that I just ignored him!

I can remember when my sister's oldest son was about MO's age and MO was MS's age and they would do the same thing. My sister's son would do this to MO and now MO does it to MS and I am sure soon MS will do it to the twins and then the twins will do it to poor MC! And MC wont have anyone to do it to...poor thing, he doesn't have a chance!

NOW I NEED TO GO SO I CAN GO GET ON TO MO FOR CALLING DADDY AND TELLING ON ME! Little S - H - I - T! (I am not really saying this word, I am spelling it out!):)

MO IS MUCH BETTER

Just wanted to let everyone know that MO is much better! AND he is a pro at taking his medicine now...this may just be what he needed to get him over being such a BAD medicine taker!

In my post before this I said how happy I was that they were able to give us one of his antibiotics in a capsule since it tasted so bad and this way we could just take the capsule apart and sprinkle it on food or something, especially since he is already so bad at taking even just Motrin or Tylenol! Well, this didn't work out exactly as we had hoped. The first time he took the capsule we put it in yogurt which he doesn't really like anyway but needs to be eating it to put the good bacteria back in him that has been taken out since he has been so sick. So when he was telling us he could not take the med in yogurt cause it tasted so bad we thought it was just because he didn't like the yogurt. So I finally said OK, I will put it in chocolate pudding then but this is it, we cant waste anymore capsules! So I put a SECOND capsule in chocolate pudding which he eats all the time! When he took his first bite he said I cant do this either. I said too bad, YOU HAVE TOO! He was crying, I said MO, this is chocolate pudding, I know it cant be that bad. Daddy went over and took a little bite and about threw up...he said that is so bad, no wonder he cant eat it, daddy said it tasted like metal. I was like, OK DADDY YOU CAN HUSH NOW, what you are saying is NOT going to help the situation!

So now we are on our THIRD capsule, we thought we would make him a slushy with Popsicles and we added a ton of sugar...but I was like he has to take this capsule THREE times a day (for 12 more )days, we cant go through this every time. And of course the slushy was nasty too but daddy had had enough and went over to MO and held his nose for him and told him you have to eat this whether you like it or not and he shoved two bites into his mouth...yeah, not such a great idea! MO threw up everything he had eaten that morning plus his other antibiotic and his stomach medicine he had already taken! We had wasted a whole days worth (THREE capsules) of this antibiotic and he still hadn't gotten one down!

I was like I don't know what we are going to do. We are going to end up back in the hospital. The med we were sent home on was the same he was taking in the hospital but in the hospital it was through his IV NOT HIS MOUTH! MO actually likes IVs now because he knows they can give him all the medicine they want and he doesn't have to taste any of it! We finally told him our only hope was him swallowing this capsule. We told him if he could do that he would not have to taste it at all, all he had to do was swallow it. We gave him a break and then about 30 minutes later he said he was ready to try and swallow the capsule. I told him with capsules all he had to do was put it in his mouth then fill his mouth with water and put his head down and the capsule would float to the back of his throat and all he had to do was swallow and it would go down his throat. He tried this and it didn't work the first time, he swallowed and all the water went down but the capsule was still in his mouth. He put more water in his mouth and held his head down for like a minute and finally looked up and said ITS GONE, I SWALLOWED IT! WE WERE BOTH SO HAPPY! I told him you don't even know what this means, this is GREAT! HE CAN SWALLOW CAPSULES AND I BET HE CAN SWALLOW OTHER PILLS TOO! WOO HOO! Our lives just got so much easier!

On a different note, go here http://www.mycharmingkids.net/ and say some prayers PLEASE!

SPRING BREAK 09 CONT.

This is how we spent the last part of our spring break:

These two pics, above and below, he was feeling much better as you can tell from his smile...plus he had just woken up from a nap!

MO napping

MS napping

The first part of their spring break was spent camping but cut short due MO getting sick with fever and sore throat. We took him to the doctor Tuesday, he was given 2 shots and sent home on antibiotics, they said he had tonsillitis, the strep test was neg. Wednesday he was not better at all and still running high fever so we took him back to the doctor. They did a mono test on him and then decided it was an abscessed right tonsil that was not responding to the antibiotics which is pretty typical and in which case the abscess would have to be drained which he would have had to be put to sleep to do. Our pediatrician called like 3 or 4 ENT's and ALL were on vacation. They finally sent us over to the Children's Medical Center ER because there was an ENT there. Well they ended up hooking him up to an IV to get antibiotics to him fast in an effort to start fighting the infection and get his fever from spiking like it had been. After reading MO's CT Scan the ENT wanted him admitted, he was going to need a lot of antibiotics pretty quickly on top of steroids to start hopefully fighting the infection he had. He was still burning up with fever Wednesday night. They were able to get his fever down but he still ran it throughout the night. Finally Thursday it broke and he didn't run any more fever which was a sign that the antibiotics were starting to do their job. The doctor wanted to keep us one more night to get more antibiotics and steroids in him through his IV. Today he has been great! It looks like everything is working as it should and he has not ran anymore fever. His right tonsil is still a little sore when he eats certain things but for the most part he is much better. The biggest problem now is the upset stomach that all the meds are causing, which should be interesting when he has to go back to school Monday. We were released today at about 230 and sent home with two antibiotics and something for his stomach. He will be on these three meds for two more weeks at three times a day for each. I have to follow up with our pediatrician and the ENT that treated him Monday morning.
We will be getting MO's tonsils out this summer for sure! I just hope between now and then he can stay healthy! MO gets strep it seems like once a month and of course has never had what he has now so the next 3 mos will be touch and go I am sure. I just don't see him being able to go that long and not get sick with his throat but I sure hope he can! When we took the meds to get filled the pharmacist was concerned about one of the antibiotics that they prescribed for MO. She said it is a very strong ADULT antibiotic and she just wants to be sure the dosage is correct that was down for someone MO's age and weight. These two antibiotics are the same two he has been on the last two days in the hospital. The particular one in question the pharmacist said would be for aggressively treating something which they are doing and after explaining to the pharmacist the last two days she could see why they would be using this antibiotic but she still wants to make sure the dosage is correct. So she has a call into our pediatrician and to the hospital doctor. She said we could go ahead and give MO his first couple doses and by then she hopes to be back with us with more info. But I am sure what was prescribed is correct but its nice to know that the pharmacist catches things like this! And this particular med we are talking about tastes really bad and the doctor said depending on MO's weight she might be able to give it to us in a capsule and then be able to take the beads out of the capsule and sprinkle it over food for MO to take which I am so thankful she was able to do! MO is terrible at taking ANY med, even Motrin and Tylenol, so a med like this that really taste bad I am not sure we would have even been able to get MO to keep it down. We are talking about the same kid that throws up when taking Motrin or Tylenol! And the same kid that WHEN he does keep med down its because with each tiny sip of med he chases it with a gallon of water and an M&M!
So we are finally ALL home! Daddy spent the night with MO while I was home with MS and my mom and sister had MC. And me and MS would go to the hospital each morning about 8 so that daddy could go to work.
I hate this is how MO's spring break was spent but I would have much rather it been like this than him going back to school and then being out a whole other week due to being sick! I will be having to send a note to his teacher about his frequent bathroom trips though!
The doc said that we have taken a lot of bacteria out of him, GOOD and bad so we needed to work on putting the good back in him. So we have stocked up on yogurt! I don't even really like yogurt but can force my self to eat the key lime and lemon flavors and even MS will eat this so I am pretty sure MO can eat at least one yogurt a day, which we can also sprinkle in the one antibiotic and the med that is suppose to help with his tummy!
Thanks for any and all prayers and would love for them to continue that he can stay healthy or at least not end up back in the hospital until we can get his tonsils out!

SPRING BREAK 09

Daddy, MO and MS went camping with uncle Ben and their cousin! They had a blast until it was cut short due to MO getting sick...sore throat and running fever. Daddy took MO to the doctor today and his strep was negative but he had a bacterial infection (tonsilitis). He was given TWO shots and sent home on antibiotics, if his fever is not gone by tomorrow and he isn't feeling drastically better we are suppose to take him back to the doc! The doctor also referred us to an ENT to have MO's tonsils taken out this summer. I knew this was coming and know that he needs this done! MO has tonsils like I do! I was sick ALL THE TIME when I was younger with my throat and just recently when I thought I was dying! I should have had my tonsils taken out when I was younger and should still now but I have heard it is pretty rough the older you get.

The pics are of MO, MS and two of their cousins from their camping trip!

SOCCER

this was the first soccer game of MO's that i was able to take MC to...this was the first time that the other soccer moms have ever seen MC. last soccer season i had just had him and of course never had him out then. when anyone would come over to see him they were ALL shocked at how BIG he was...they would all ask, HOW OLD IS HE? then they were all like, LOOK AT THOSE EYES...did your other two have eyes that blue? i told them that my other two boys DID have eyes that blue at his age but eventually changed to hazel, which is daddy's eye color. i wonder if MC's eyes will change too...I HOPE NOT!

WE HAVE A TOOTH...ALMOST!

Is 5 months early to be getting your first tooth? For some reason I am thinking it is...I know my other two boys did not get their first tooth this early. I knew he had been doing some weird things with his mouth and tongue lately, but we have been thinking he has been teething since he was like 3 months old! Anyway, my mom was with us yesterday and felt his lower gums and could feel a tooth! I can for sure feel one but I think I might can feel TWO! I cant wait until the tooth or teeth pop up and you can see them, it will be so cute, I mean IF he can get any cuter!! (only my opinion of course)

While we are talking about Mr. Chubby...he is eating baby food and liking it, well he is eating sweet potatoes and squash and liking it. But he is eating almost a whole container each time I feed him which is about lunch time and then at dinner time and then not drinking a whole bottle. So I am thinking he is eating too much baby food because I know that his formula intake should not go down just because he is eating baby food now. Yesterday I just fed him about half a container and then stopped, which he was not happy about, then he drank his whole bottle. Or maybe I should let him have his bottle first and then feed him the baby food and he can eat as much or as little as he wants then! Maybe I should look up how much baby food he should be eating at 5 months old.

While I have the time to post I may as well write more since MC is being good right now.

MO had a soccer game yesterday. He really drives me nuts when it comes to his sports. YES, we wanted all our boys to want to play sports and be good at them but we now know that may not happen, well at least not with MO anyway. And we have gotten ok with it, we are NOT forcing him to play anything, we are asking him before signing him up if he wants to play and when he says yes we sign him up! But once we have passed the sign up phase then there is no turning back, WE DO NOT LET HIM QUIT ANYTHING but I can promise if we did HE WOULD! He has already made it clear he will not play football again...and we are talking about FLAG, he hated his first season of it and would have quit if we would have let him and believe me it was so bad we were really re-thinking the whole, HE IS NOT QUITTING ANYTHING ONCE HE HAS STARTED IT! I think the coach even would have encouraged us to LET HIM QUIT! Anyway, he says he loves soccer and wants to play but he hates every practice and every game and CRIES...YES HE CRIES, which really drives us insane! Yesterday in the car heading to his game I told him I did not understand why he wanted to play if he hates everything about it, he said he didn't understand it either!! WHAT!?!? Yesterday was the first soccer game I was able to go to with it being so darn cold and windy the last two Saturdays and not wanting to take MC out and on the way to his game I threatened him big time about the whole crying thing or telling his coach NO when they were wanting to put him in. YES HE TELLS HIS COACH NO and MO is not like that, he doesn't tell adults NO when they tell him to do something...he did this in football too! I told him if he did that again or cried that he would be forever done with all sports AND his Sony PlayStations PERIOD! I told him I would spank his little butt in front of everyone...I think he was about to start crying as I was telling him all of this but I knew he knew better. He did great last night and after the game is back to, I LOVE SOCCER! That is just it with him, after all the crying and I don't want to play he gets out there and usually does really good! We think we know what the bottom line is...MO does not like to run and get tired or hot or get knocked down and get hurt...ok, who really does, but when it comes to sports most little boys forget about it and doesn't even realize when they get hurt or tired or whatever. Last night we were sitting on the stands watching the game, MO was not in yet. About that time we hear him calling our name behind us, I told him to get back on the bench with his team...he said I just wanted to tell you...and he holds up his hand to do the sign language of I LOVE YOU! I said ok, love you too now get back on the bench. After he was back on the bench I just shake my head, my husband says I know, that's not normal...NO IT ISN'T! He is more worried about signing to us that he loves us than his game that is in progress...most 6 year olds DO NOT DO THIS! We have come to the conclusion that MO is going to be our smart one, WHICH I WOULD RATHER HAVE...REALLY! But he is going to be our smart one and probably be into music and guitars and such, NOT SPORTS! If he survives any sport it MIGHT BE baseball!

MS on the other hand may not be as smart as MO (not that we really know that now, but he is NOT where MO was at his age) but I think he is going to be our sports guy! MS cant wait to get out there and play, he is not worried about getting hurt or hot or signing to us that he loves us!

I guess only time will tell us what our three boys will become...I CANT WAIT TO SEE THIS! I mean I CAN WAIT, I know one day we are going to miss THIS, our life NOW, but it is going to be fun seeing what each of them do with their lives and what interests they take up and all, ya know!?!?

GOT TAGGED?

I was tagged by Nikki at http://bullockpartyof5.blogspot.com/ and now have to list 6 weird things about me. I asked my sister to tell me 6 weird things about me and she said I could have told you a million if you would not have asked me cause I KNOW you are weird but she couldn't think of anything at the time. I know I am pretty weird too when it comes to certain things, lets see if I can come up with those things...

1. When I walk into my house and know that my husband and the boys or whoever has been there without me for a long period of time I am not in a good mood and can instantly tell what is out of place or if something has been moved or broke or whatever and walk straight to whatever it is and start grilling my husband about it...I instantly start straightening things up, I cant stand for anything to be out of place in my house for too long...cant stand for dishes to pile up in my sink...I am a little overboard about it and it drives my husband (and kids) crazy and has caused multiple arguments...

2. I should be sleeping when my husband and kids are all tucked away in bed and snoozing but I look at that time as MY time that I can actually get stuff done FOR ME...like what I am doing now.

3. If I think of a piece of clothing or shoes or something that I know I use to have and see them in a pic or something but know I don't have them anymore and know that my mom and sister share clothes and shoes, I will call them and bug them about the items until they locate them and give them back to me...I cant stand not to know where my stuff is at all times or have it all in its neat little place where it belongs so that the next time i go looking for it it will be there. Drives my mom and sister crazy!

4. I will only sleep in a silk, short, sleeveless gown at night...I have three and the first two look awful and my mom and husband try to get me to throw them out but I wont, even when I get a new one! Anything but silk is too hot!

5. I really don't like people in general or like to talk much to people, especially people I don't know...I don't say what I should to be people when they are wrong because I don't want to make someone feel stupid or make them feel bad...once a guy thought I was my sister and I didn't tell him any different because I am like WHY would someone just assume I am her when he knows she has a twin...so I am talking to him like I am her and answering his questions and stuff and then he asks me out and again its hard for me to say no to people and things, i don't want to make them feel bad, so I say yes. Then I call my sister to tell her she has a date with this guy and she says NO I DON'T and I said YES YOU DO, I just made it for you. She throws a fit and says she doesn't like this guy and I am like well then you better call and cancel your date then...she said you are going since you made it and I said NO I AM NOT...I am not sure what happened in this situation but I know I didn't go on the date! Or like when my sister and I are getting our nails done and I don't like what the lady is doing to my nails instead of telling the lady that I will look at my sister and just shake my head and she will look at the lady and be like she doesn't like her nails, can you redo them and the lady looks at me like, can you not talk. Or once I started working at this new job and again I don't like talking to people really and especially not people I don't know well, so at lunch I would not go into the kitchen cause I was afraid there would be "people" in there so I would just go sit in my car in a parking garage and if and when I saw someone from my work walking by I would duck...I KNOW I AM WEIRD!

6. I don't like being told NO. So much that with my pregnancies I almost had my babies with no epidural because I was afraid to go to the hospital and be told to go back home that it was not time...this was actually the exact reason I did NOT have an epidural at all with my third one! You would think I would learn!

So now I will tag 6 people to do the same!
